Same era and sounds almost like German "Krautrock" (Faust, Amon Düll, Harmonia, Neu!)
The only band to have two albums in my top ten of all time, this and Recurring.
Grazie per la condivisione, album meraviglioso, musica intramontabile.🔝👏👏grandi Spacemen3!

Best Lips album ever ❤
Simply brilliant!!!
God walks amongst us. 630am avoiding yield sign runners in heavy traffic. Their frantic pace to reach the JOB while THC wafts out their windows in a steady drift of burning collosums. Talk about telepathic surgery. I'm giving them all tickets...
I missed being one of two dead witnesses being splayed on satellite surveillance for haters of god by barely jumping backward from a purposely accelerating 90s Ford truck driven by a mad black rogue agent by one billionth of a second Sunday April 23 at intersection of park n John. Perhaps the bitterness has cast their lot to hell impaled upon my flaming lips
One foot in the deep one ashore prods... Google A Real Time Detective Story c 2022-2016 Mariano X Rodriguez.... You'll never steal my faith

This'n here, is a rocker, which rocks pretty damn hard. Considerably hard. So......fuckin watchit. Pretty sure a piano gets...murdered in the end. So, Best wishes, gentlemen, from Sallisaw, and Nicut, Oklahoma.
Kinda reminds me of The Clash
i was initially impressed with the looseness, and the vintage aesthetic, but it gets less impressive the more i hear it. i'm sure it was a blast to record. . . .
i have this album and took a relook at the cover...j is nodddin like sum thing special
I walked with Jesus and he would say "Oh you poor child, you ain't comin' to me no way You've found Heaven on Earth, gonna burn for your sin" But I think I'll be in good company down there with all my friends. This should be the International anthem for all the people of the world. The petition is started.
Great post. Love this LP. Probably in my top ten, and agreed the best of the Lips. I once worked at an OKC record store that was managed by their manager, so over the early 90s I was lucky to sometimes hang out with Wayne, etc. Was even in a very brief 'band' with Steven and Michael. I had no talent, just no one else wanted to sing. When Jonathan first moved to the city, they gave him a job at the record store so we'd spend hours together. Not a big talker, and not that great at customer service, but a nice guy, brilliant musician. To this day I remember he was (I assume) so broke at the time, that he would bring powered 'slim fast' to work and just eat it dry. Sorry. I'm bored. Anyway, rock n roll. : )
I wandered backstage after one of their shows during the Hit the Future tour. I was tripping and the show had just ended, and I wanted to talk to them about why they played nothing from Telepathic Surgery. They gave me beer and both Michael Ivins and Steven Drozd sat with me and told me all kinds of stories about recording their records and how they thought about them. Steven, in particular was super kind and chatted with me for a long time. I remember him handing me off saying, "Hey, you talk to him for awhile." I kept thinking I was going to get kicked out, but instead they just kept giving me beer and chatting. It was one of the greatest nights in my life, and this album was a big part of the conversation.
What an awesome story
@@marcusaiello7100 thanks. A time and a place.
Back of his hand. DJ
I like how it stops and starts over at around the 45 second mark. Idk if it was intentional or not, but I thought it was kind of like how your memory skips and restarts (or feels that way) when you’re under the influence of something.
In retrospect, it may have been another blast of H.
Just perfect when you are high but not only! I love the Spacemen 3! Thanks for share this album 🖤
Wow! Great psychedelic rock! The BEST!
Love is not strong enough word to how I feel about his music
Got this on vinyl, best decision I’ve ever made. Will never forget the album or spacemen 3 and if I ever have kids they will find this masterpiece
the minimalistic nature of this music is what makes it so magical
very underrated !

Like everyone here, one of my favourite LPs. Thank you uncle V for giving it to me for Christmas all those years ago.
the world would be a much darker place without cool uncles
Spacemen 3, we've much to thank you for. All of us. Just ask The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
1987 working at a college radio station. This album brand new in plastic. I opened it with a paperclip, put it on the turntable, immediately bought my own copy and played it over and over in the green den. Over and over.... Over.....and....Over.... and now I am playing it here.
Fucking awesome
FOREVERxx
Are you gonna skin up then?
Mi año de nacimiento
Absolutely hands down one of the greatest albums ever. It's never been given the recognition it deserves. I still come back to this album over 30 years since it was released and I've still not come across better in those 30+ years. Absolutely iconic album and one of the best sounding ever.
agree it ages like fine wine, fucking lovely music was never a huge fan of take me to the other side, now im sold on it..
I think 30+ years of terrible bands failing miserably at ripping this album off is a pretty good indication of how important it is to
This album seems a bit more chilled out than the debut one before. Also why is there only two members on the front cover compared to the last, did some leave? New to the SM3 world lol
I don’t know if you have found answers else where but as stated on Wikipedia (I love Spacemen 3 but am no expert) Jason Pierce and Peter Kember (seen on the sleeve here) were the only constant members of the band while other members changed a bit. So on Sound of Confusion the members at the time were on the cover but it’s really Pierce and Kember’s band at the core which is why I assume they are the only ones on the cover. They were the ones who wrote all the songs. Hope this clears some stuff up.
The worst feeling when you find this cd at a pawn shop, only to discover someone left a dj shadow cd inside instead...
well atleast I know where my dj shadow cd went...
it could have been Hanson. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Τhat's strangely specific
Hahaha.
Not a bad surprise IMO
Unconsciously Screaming still rocks so hard. Good shit. My favorite Lips album.
Agreed! That and “Mountain Side” are 1-2 punches of brute force distorted goodness, haha.
Jenny it's walter
===>}-_\|/-__{ Works not the Way it's supposed to.
it should be considered illegal to put ads on this album. it ruins the atmosphere when i’m entranced and then “come on down to pollo tropical!” starts blasting in my ears
show me how you cliimb the stairs :~]
But today ain't garbage day.
well here it comes! the sound of... confusion .. the sound of your love!
One of the best album titles ever.
